Discloth Swap Topic #1

Topic: Now that in some geographic locations the weather is starting to turn cooler, do you change the type of yarn(s) you knit/crochet with? If so, what do you now knit/crochet with instead and why? If not, why do you not switch and what do you knit/crochet with?

I do tend to change to heavier yarns that involve projects that I did not want to tackle while it was really hot out - afghans for example are too big and bulky to be draped over my lap in the summer heat.

Also, the cooler weather brings about a time where heavier things can be used: sweaters and scarves are now going to be needed! Although if I was more organized I would do this backwards so that my tank top that I started in August will be done by next summer and if I hurry up and finish that afghan I started last Fall I might be able to use it for winter, LOL!

I am excited about the colder weather coming. I knit a great hat and scarf set and sweater last winter that I got to wear once b/c our winter was so hot. I also think I am ready to try a blanket, I haven't knit one before.
